On August 5th The Cult played in 013 in Tilburg, only 20 kilometers from Breda, my hometown. The plan to get together with the other Cult addicts in my Cult 'museum/pub-like setting ' before and after the performance was very successful. Steven (USA) & Bella (Brasil), now living in Germany, slept in a hotel in Breda. Also did Dave, Lorna & Colin (the bear) and Paul (all from the UK). My buddy Leo and his wife Marieke stayed with me and Inge. So it was easy to get together. At our place we talked for hours about The Cult, being a fan, collecting, listening to The Cult, enjoying the collection, drinking beer, eating pizza and in between seeing The Cult give a very good performance in 013. This was a special evening with special guests, a new highlight of Cult experiences.

On the 6th of August Steven & Bella, Paul, Leo and I took the train to Amsterdam for the gig in Paradiso. Fantastic location, intimate atmosphere and an energetic show. A beautiful day with many familiar faces among the fans. After the show we had a few beers with John Tempesta and his mate on an Amsterdam terrace in a relaxed atmosphere. After this we chatted for a while at the tour bus with the nice guys of the road crew. At some point, unexpectedly, Ian joined in. He was calm, very talkative and interested.  Ian took the time (over 45 minutes) to talk with us, to answer questions and took pictures with us. My personal highlight came when I gave Ian my 'TheCultCollection.NL' business card, to which he said: "Ah.. So you're the one with the museum in his house." A little later, Ian unexpectedly gave me a 'Crew shirt' with the words 'it's for the museum'. Wow!
